Special Cinema Review
Tonight I'm going to see the Friday the 13th reboot. Directed Marcus Nispel (of the bad Texas Chainsaw remake and the worse Pathfinder) this film promises to have the blood and boobies but I'm leery of another Nispel crapfest. Stay tuned...

New Reviews, New Format
Today I posted reviews for the comedy Disaster Movie and the French horror film Frontier(s). Tomorrow will be Eden Lake and something from my vault, not sure what.
I'm also experimenting with a new format for the reviews. I've stopped using the cover and poster images and switched to screen caps for these two latest reviews. I'm not sure how I'll do the grabs for movies I view for Netflix on demand or any theatrical releases, but my goal is to try to do the screen grab style.
Let me know what you think.

New Reviews Coming
Tomorrow I'll be watching Frontier(s), Disaster Movie (the things I do for you readers), and probably Eden Lake. If I'm lucky the Blockbuster employee that has the ONLY copy of Man on Wire will bring it back and I'll watch it (it's holding up my best of 2008 list. It's supposed to be great and I don't want to short it). Otherwise it goes to the top of the Netflix queue. All links are to IMDB.
Search Engine Working!
It looks like the search engine is beginning to work for finding individual titles. I appreciate your patience as I get all this under control. I've added a widget for my news and blog feeds. You can of course still come here directly. Let me know if you like the new widget. You cant scroll within it, only click the scrollbar. I don't like that.
Otherwise it saves me from having to manually type in each news entry (which is what I have been doing) and I don't have to worry as much about archiving by hand. Plus anything I can host off-site saves me webspace. It's not great, but I'm getting there.
If it proves to be too much of a piss-taker then I'll probably just add wordpress in a subdomain and split that into two blogs. It's just such a pain to set up WP. I'd have to install it, then find a template I could manipulate to look like the main site (not an easy thing) especially since I'm not the best at web authoring. I just steal a lot of good html from other places and use my skills as an design hack (not hacker) to make it work. It's not pretty, the code is very messy, but it functions.
Now maybe I can get back to actually watching movies.

New Toys
I'm playing with some widgets as you might have noticed. I've added a viewer for the news. I've not got it working exactly right yet, but I'm getting there. We'll see how it turns out. I added a review for the Romanian drama 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days in the archive. 5 Star film, you should check out the review.

Delayed Reviews
I apologize for the delay in getting new reviews up, I've been overwhelmed getting the website running. Coming soon, The Fall, Michael Clayton, The Re-animator, Trailer Park of Terror and Automaton Transfusion! I'll get one up tonight, hopefully the rest by Monday. Stay tuned!

Search Engine Active!
If you look in the upper right hand corner you'll see that I've added a google branded search engine. It's got some ads on the results page, but that's free search engines for you. It's not completely up to date. I now have a working template for all my pages. So far the engine hasn't done very good at picking out specific titles, so you'll probably still do better with the archives for now.
